Objective of Position
To prepare, analyze, process and administer financial statements of loan prospects for discussion and approval by senior staff so as to ensure the achievement in the short and long term of targets and budget established by the Manager - Corporate Banking.
Responsibilities

Manage and administer an assigned portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely reviews, risk assessments and responding the booking requirements, ensuring the portfolio is kept in proper order;

Visit/Interview existing or potential clients in order to determine the extent of their banking needs and be able to recommend services to meet these needs;

Make enquiries of credit standing and obtain financial statements from new clients in order to screen loan applications for completeness of information and basic creditworthiness;

Conduct complete appraisal (evaluation) of projects through the analysis of financial statements and preparation of feasibility studies in order to develop general economic overviews, industry profiles and evaluation of the past and present fiscal viability of loan prospects;

Present the loan proposal to the credit committee for discussion and/or approval;

Prepare loan agreement and all legal documentation for the client in order to ensure compliance to all conditions prior to disbursement;

Conduct al follow up activities related to the disbursement and past loan situation of clients in order to ensure that accurate information about accounts and payments is available to both the internal organisation and clients;

Promote and market the Bank's services and benefits to existing and potential clients in order to cross sell and increase market growth in other areas;

Ensure that the bank's funds are protected at all times and that all approved securities are perfected and documented.
Requirements:
-
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics or Business, together with a minimum of three (3) years lending experience handling complex commercial credit proposals, or at least five (5) years banking experience in commercial lending;

Working knowledge of software applications;

Demonstrated interest in ongoing self development.
