We are looking for a DBA / Software Developer who can start ASAP for a period of 3 months.
Job Purpose:
To perform database administration, trouble shoot and resolve any problems related to databases or software involved.
Responsibilities:
Help Desk
* Function as a Help Desk in connection database issues that may arise.
Reports
* To develop and maintain reports to accommodate company specific information requirements.
* To report on technical issues and progress of activities.
Software Development
* To formulate & design software systems and maintain applications to improve procedures.
* To build scripts and programs at database level.
* To analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time- and cost constraints.
Information Research
* To follow up on all relevant technical issues of the functioning platforms with vendors or suppliers.
Database Administration
* To perform database administration, configuration management, performance tuning, back up recovery, installation and upgrading of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) @ HBO level;
Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases;
Knowledge of Windows Networking;
Ability to work in diversified teams;
Knowledge in technical troubleshooting, analytical and reporting skills;
Social skills in dealing with vendors, suppliers, telecom operators and internal customers;
Oral and written proficiency in English and Dutch.
