Title: Fund Account (FA)
Reporting to: Account Manager (AM)/Assistant Account Manager (AAM)

Location: Curacao

Purpose of position:
The Fund Accountant calculates timely and accurate net asset values (NAVs), provides financial reporting and exceptional client service. The FA is responsible for all administrative tasks assigned to his/her portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

Calculation of daily, weekly & monthly Net Asset Values
Review and clear comprehension of relevant fund documentation
Reconciliation of bank and broker statements
Pricing funds according to fund documents and Atlas pricing policies
Calculating fund fees and expenses and coordinating payment of same
Preparing funds for audit and liaising with auditors to produce annual financial statements
Liaise with fund managers and assisting with any queries or specific reporting requirements they have
Understanding of certain tax reporting requirements (K-1; PFIC Statements)
Produce routine and ad hoc internal management reports
Understanding of fee methodologies applicable to funds
Working knowledge of PFS and investor relations process to ensure ability to retrieve relevant data
Monitor terms of fund offering and ensure compliance with same
Must have the ability to carry out a detailed self-review
Analytical review of all NAV reports produced to highlight inconsistencies
Clear familiarity with all Atlas systems and their functionality
Ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements
Preparation and coordination of other ad-hoc requests
Maintaining a clean desk policy at all times
Any other duties which the organization may require as part of the business of Atlas
Job Specifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics, plus 1-3 years working experience in fund administration services.

Qualifications:

Good organizational & communication skills
Fluent in and have excellent knowledge of English;
Ability to work within deadlines
Computer literacy with detailed knowledge of Excel at the least
Self-motivated, innovative, and analytical
Service-minded attitude
Team player with the ability to successfully work in a fast paced and demanding professional environment
Attention to detail and accuracy
Must be flexible
Dynamic personality and enthusiastic
Ability to set priorities; and
Pro-active attitude and willingness to put forth suggestions for constructive improvement in the provision of service.
