Job Purpose:

The Manager is primarily responsible for the execution and progress of the allocated tasks, and maintaining regular contact with the client. Because management is central to these activities, the Manager's focus is external. The Manager reports directly to a Director, who is able to provide a relatively higher degree of support than a Senior Manager does.

Area of activity: Carries out auditing, reviewing and compilation assignments and provides financial advisory services;
Reports to Senior Manager or Director;
Manages Audit Senior and Project Leaders.

Responsibilities:

Managing (assistants and) seniors:
Actively increases employee's level of knowledge;
Stimulates and motivates;
Delegates effectively;
Stimulates personal development of employees;
Provides Guidance on the Job;
Conducts engagement reviews and independently mid-term reviews, and provides constructive feedback.

Supervising the execution of assignments:
Has the draft version of the financial statements drawn up, assesses this document and reviews the audit report/management letter;
Responsible for drafting the strategy memorandum and planning memorandum;
Responsible for team composition, budgeting (hours/costs) and the completion of financial activities;
Responsible for accurate execution of the assignment, from the perspective of both the organizations employees and the client;
Meets regularly with director to discuss assignment's progress;
Holds concluding talks with client (in co-operation with director);
Evaluates implementation of assignment with other team members.

Contributing towards product and market development:
Contributes towards increasing professionalism with respect to the current range of services, and initiates expansions;
Establishes, expands and maintains a client network including existing and potential clients;
Takes part in professional and social activities such as lecturing positions, presentations, publishing articles, board positions and association memberships.

Acquiring assignments:
Independently broadens assignment scope;
Offers professional services (products) to colleagues in other BUs;
Identifies market opportunities in relation to the full range of services;
Turns opportunities into actual assignments;
Draws up the proposal.

Maintaining client relations:
Maintains regular contact with clients;
Shows genuine interest in ideas and developments relating to the client;
Gains the client's appreciation;
Shows diplomacy when handling conflicting interests relating to the client;
Adopts a long-term approach to relationship with the client.

Carrying out internal (and external) management tasks:
Examples of internal management tasks include: counselor, internal trainer, delegated tasks (normally carried out by the director) in the area of marketing, HRM, finances or office management.

Requirments:
RA, AA with attest function or CPA;
Preferably an average of 6 years of relevant experience;
A good to excellent score in all areas of competency at project leader level;
Potential to develop within the position;
Demonstrated consistent exceptional performance on complex assignments and strong performance on non complex assignments;
Fluent verbally and written in Dutch and English.
